The next title in the Call of Duty franchise has been teased quite a bit over the past couple of weeks. First we found out about the moniker and then we were treated to a teaser trailer of the new title. Today there’s more to feast our eyes on though as the official Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 trailer has finally been released.

From what we know about the title so far it’s going to be set in the future and the focus will be on futuristic tech and how it plays into wars of the future. The game is set as far ahead as 2065 where cybernetic technology is the norm on the battlefield.

Players will be able to experience futuristic technology in the title such as cybernetic limb replacements, DNA upgrades, retinal implants as well as brain-to-brain connections.

The official description of the title states that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 shows a dark and gritty future where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges “and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the cutting-edge military robotics that define the future of combat.”

Earlier this week we reported on the leaked release date of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. That has been confirmed in today’s official trailer. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is indeed destined for release on November 6th, 2015.
