The Instagram app for Android today received a new update which adds two new tools to the app. Color and Fade are now available to Instagram users on Android. These tools are only available on this app right now but they will soon be making their way to the iOS app as well. These two creative tools have long been demanded by the Instagram community, today they can be happy that their demands have finally been met.
The Color tool can be used to tint the highlights or shadows in the photo. Users can choose from yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, cyan or green to add a colorful flair to the photos that they share on Instagram.
Fade tool can be used to bring a quiet tone to the photos as it softens the colors. Basically it’s like adding the aged film effect to digital photos by softening the colors.
These features work nicely with the five new filters that Instagram added to both of its apps back in December.
Version 6.19.0 of Instagram for Android brings these new tools and its available to download right away from the Google Play Store. Version 6.10.0 for iOS is going to be launched in the next few days.
