Chrome appIf you’re the type that makes a lot of Google Hangout calls on their desktop, Google’s Mark Chang has recently announced some changes that will be headed your way, and these are changes you will probably love. According to Chang, it seems that Hangouts for the desktop will be getting some speed improvements.

This includes faster call connections inside of Gmail or Inbox, and quicker call answering for incoming Google Voice calls. Chang also notes that these speed improvements have also been made to the Hangouts Chrome app so if you have that installed, perhaps it could be worth checking out. If you have yet to download the app you can do so by heading on over to the Chrome Web Store for the download (only available for Chrome OS and Windows).

However as noted by Chang, these changes are expected to make its way out to users over the course of the next few days. What this means is that if you are a Hangouts desktop user and you have yet to notice the faster speeds, fret not as it should be arriving for you guys relatively soon. Of course we’re not sure if one can even detect if it got faster, but regular users should be able to notice it.
