Google Keep was one of the first few apps available for Android Wear smartwatches. There might be other note-taking applications for Android Wear but Google would certainly want you to continue using Keep, which is why it has added a new feature to that app to ensure that users don’t jump ship. Google Keep now supports note dictation on Android Wear smartwatches, this feature will come in handy when users just want to store a note by speaking out and not having to tap on the display.

A smartwatch’s display is not ideal for typing which is why most of them don’t have a native keyboard. It’s much more easier to just speak out and let the software turn your dictation into words.

With the latest Google Keep update you can now leave your phone in the pocket and view notes by simply telling the smartwatch “OK Google, open Keep.”

To take a new note simply say “Ok Google, take a note” and then proceed to dictate the note which will then be automatically stored.

Reminders to notes can also be added directly from the Android Wear smartwatch now, and with this update Keep also gets support for recurring reminders.

Google Keep is available as a free download from the Google Play Store for Android devices.
