Lead gameplay designer for GTA 5 at Rockstar has already termed the PC version of this title as “the ultimate version of an amazing game.” Not many will disagree with his statement, and Rockstar is only taking that narrative further by talking about the required specifications needed for GTA 5 4K gameplay. Needless to say you will need to invest a considerable sum of money into a gaming rig just to be able to run GTA 5 in 4K.

Speaking to PCGamer the developer said that the aim with this PC port was to ensure that most people could run the game comfortably, while a wide range of options were offered to people willing to tailor their experience based on the capabilities of their system.

Rockstar says that in order to achieve GTA 5 4K gameplay you’ll at least need to have an AMD HD 7870 or NVIDIA GTX 760 with 2GB VRAM. Running the PC version at 4K and 60 frames-per-second will also require a high-end SLI or Crossfire setup.

That’s not all. You’ll also obviously need a monitor that’s capable of handling 4K output from a computer. Only then will you be able to enjoy GTA 5 for PC in all of its 4K/60fps glory.

Rockstar is going to release GTA 5 for PC on April 14th.
