final-fantasy-4Final Fantasy (image above for illustrative purposes only) has been a long running RPG franchise that does not look as though it is going to die off anytime soon, which is a good thing, actually. Having said that, it looks like Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata has stepped up to the plate to address certain complaints that have reached his ears, where among them include having at least one character that is deemed to be “too sexy”, not to mention resolution issues.

In the most recent Active Time Report, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata alongside marketing manager Akio Ofuji shared that the upcoming RPG will give E3 a miss, in addition to responding to fan complaints concerning the game’s demo. Square Enix has picked up its fair amount of feedback on the title via a survey which was held last month, and now Tabata and Ofuji has taken the responsibility to address the top 15 complaints individually.

A slew of the topics include lock-on mechanics, camera positioning, frame rate and resolution, among others. Tabata mentioned concerning the camera being too close to the character, saying, “We may consider allowing the player to choose from different camera distances.” He also touched on the camera feeling “heavy or sluggish,” citing, “We’ll make sure the camera is smoother. Simple as that.”

Tabata also mentioned, “We are working towards full HD. But frame rate is more important than resolution.” As for complaints that Cindy is “too sexy”, Tabata explained, “She’s actually not meant to be an erotic character. Her character is very energetic and outgoing, a very active character. With those traits paired with her appearance, we feel it wouldn’t be too problematic even if, say, she shows up on screen while your parents are in the living room.”
