journey-game-screenshot-1-bJourney is probably one of the more popular indie titles around. The game was developed by ThatGameCompany and was released as an exclusive – much to the dismay of gamers on other platforms – for the Sony PlayStation platform. Now the good news is that if you wanted to experience the game on your brand new PlayStation 4 console, you’re in luck.

The developers behind the game will be bringing Journey onto the PS4. Sony reps have also confirmed to GameSpot that the game will be released with improved framerates and resolution and will be getting the 1080p @ 60fps treatment, which will no doubt help make the already-beautiful game even better.

The game will be released on a packaged Blu-ray disc along with ThatGameCompany’s other titles such as FlOw and Flower, both of which are already available as digital downloads in the PS4 PlayStation Store, but for gamers who prefer to collect physical copies of their games then you can pick up the Blu-ray copy come this summer. Journey will also be made available as a standalone digital edition for gamers who might only want to get the game and not the other titles.

That being said apart from the improved resolution and framerates, the game will remain exactly the same as its PS3 counterpart, although admittedly it’s still a pity that it’s remained a PS-exclusive all this while.
