It was first reported back in September last year that Verizon could bring the Lumia 735 on to its network. Since then we have heard nothing from the carrier about this Windows Phone smartphone. Many had started to believe that Verizon had actually given up on these plans and that this device won’t be coming to Big Red. A new report today claims that Verizon is still very much in it, and that it plans on launching the Lumia 735 on its network soon.

In November last year the Lumia 735 was spotted making the customary stop at the FCC with Verizon’s LTE bands. This further solidified belief that Big Red will bring this device to its network at some point.

According to the report the Lumia 735 might be released by Verizon in the very near future. Apparently the carrier has the launch tentatively scheduled for next month but a concrete release date is not available at this point in time.

The expected release timing coincides with the possible release of Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 as well as Microsoft’s Build conference.

Verizon has not yet officially confirmed its intention to launch the Lumia 735 so we’ll have to wait for the company to make an official announcement. It’s unclear right now when that might happen.
