Microsoft Store Australia

Microsoft until now has its flagship retail store in North America only, but now it is planning to open another in Sydney, Australia later this year. This will be the first ever retail store by Microsoft, which will be outside of North America. The store will exhibit the same layout as the ones in US and Canada.

The company is now in active mode with its expansion that were revealed four year ago and the new store in Australia is the first steps towards its expansion. It is expanding its roots of brick and mortar stores all around US and Canada, there are 110 such stores in the region.

The Australian store will be opened at Westfield Sydney on Pitt Street Mall, and it will have access to devices such as, Windows phones, PCs, Surface tablets, Xbox consoles, and other range of Microsoft’s software products. The company has not revealed the exact launch date as yet, but it has dropped hints about opening it towards the end of this year.

This move can lead Microsoft’s way towards expansion into Europe and elsewhere. Presently, it has online stores in 189 countries, along with 17 store-in-store in China. The expansion is going gradually, but, the company still got to buck up in order to rival against companies like Apple that has 450 or more Apple Stores globally, among which 260 stores are in the US itself.
