mortal kombat xDLCs are a great way for developers to release new content for gamers and charge them for it. For the most part DLCs tend to be smaller and aren’t necessarily considered a full-fledge expansion, and in some cases these DLCs might merely be cosmetic releases where gamers get new costumes and skins for their characters.

Now as some of you guys know, Mortal Kombat X will be getting DLCs in the future, but the good news is that gamers won’t have to purchase these DLCs if they want to check it out. This was confirmed by NetherRealm’s Ed Boon on Twitter where he wrote, “MKX Sneak Peek: You can complete Premiere towers that feature (and let U  play) DLC characters even if you haven’t purchased that character!”

However the catch here is that if there is a particular character you want to play all the time you might not be able to because not only will the towers rotate regularly, but the characters will as well. Essentially this is a sample of sorts where gamers get to try out different towers and paid DLC characters before deciding if it is worth their money.

Sounds like a pretty fair deal, doesn’t it? That being said, gamers who are looking forward to the game can expect to get their hands on it come 14th of April where it will be released across multiple consoles such as the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and the PC.
