In a welcoming move, Microsoft’s Outlook app for Android is now available for full download on Android. The app was earlier available as a preview version only.

Microsoft pushed 17 updates for the app ever since it debuted on Android. In January, the company released the app for iOS, as it believed that it had a better interface than Android in terms of features and compatibility. The company also revealed in its Blog post that it took ample time before shedding the “preview” tag for Android as it wanted the app to be flawless in every way for the platform.

The app has got a fresh interface and also keeps in sync with the Office feel, meanwhile staying compatible to Android’s design values. On the contrary, the Beta version of the same app for Android was colorless and had a menial interface.

Also, the app now supports IMAP email, three-day calendar view, and also the new directory search feature. The People section of the app has also been overhauled, it now includes a cumulative display of your contacts, along with options to quickly launch an e-mail, or to call contacts over phone, or even receive directions to a meeting.

All being said, Outlook for Android has come a long way over past few months, thanks to the uniform updates. Outlook for Android supports Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Office 365, Exchange, Outlook.com, iCloud, and IMAP accounts. You can download the app for free on Play Store.
