Gamers might have heard by now that Konami has decided to pull Silent Hills’ P.T. from the PlayStation Store which according to the company, was because their distribution agreement with Sony had ended, although in reality is because they had also decided to cancel the upcoming Silent Hills title which would be co-directed by Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro and would feature actor Norman Reedus as the game’s protagonist.

What this also means is that the game would no longer be playable and this isn’t such a big deal if gamers knew that Silent Hills would be made. After all P.T. was meant to be a taste of what was to come, and now that nothing is coming, P.T. has become something of a limited edition game and we wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t eventually achieve cult status, if it hasn’t already.

So much so that gamers who have the game preinstalled on their Sony PlayStation 4 console have actually taken to eBay to sell of their entire console with the game on it. These listings were spotted by VG247 with some of the listings going for over $1,500. At least one of the listings had a more reasonable price although this is a bid-for item, meaning that it could go up in price closer to the auction coming to a close.

Is the game really worth that much? Well for some fans of Hideo Kojima’s productions, it might be. For gamers who love collecting rare and out of production games, this would be a good game to add to it. In the meantime for those wondering what all the fuss is about, check it out PewDiePie’s full playthrough of the game in the video above.
