iphone-6c-rear-shell-1So if the rumors are to be believed, Apple is expected to fall back to the 4-inch form factor this year with the iPhone 6c, or are they? According to a report from MacRumors, they cite a report from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that the 4-inch iPhone 6c might not be launched this year. Kuo claims that Apple will instead maintain the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch form factors.

It is unclear as to why Apple might not be shipping the 4-inch iPhone, but if they don’t we can’t say that we’re too surprised. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus sales have been extremely high, not to mention their size makes it very popular amongst users who were clamoring for a larger display. In fact recently we had heard how the handset managed to drive Apple’s market share up in China.

That being said let’s not forget that Apple’s “C” lineup didn’t exactly do as well as the Cupertino company had initially hoped. This was probably a combination of the price and its specs in which customers were still paying more for specs that was considered about a year old. Plus the difference in price also saw customers opting to pay a tad more just to get the metal iPhone 5s.

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys make of this? Are you disappointed that there might not be a 4-inch iPhone later this year?
