siriIt looks like not all is well in Siri-land, especially with the latest slew of allegations. What has become quite a hot and trending topic is this – when one poses questions concerning gay people to Siri in the Russian language, it replies with responses that are none too kind, which some might even say that it is ‘homophobic’.

A certain fellow who goes by the name of Alex was talking to Siri on his iPad, and when he posed a question about gay marriage, Siri allegedly informed him that ‘now you’re swearing obscenities’. Of course, the folks over at Apple have been alerted to this particular situation, where they have claimed that Siri’s responses can be attributed to nothing more than a ‘bug’ – and touts that this bug has already been fixed.

Another question that Siri was asked in Russian was, ‘Is gay marriage normal?’, where Siri would then return a particular galling response of ‘I believe this emotion should be considered negative.’ Not only that, ‘Siri, tell me about gay marriage’ resulted in ‘Alex, you are so rude!’. ‘Siri, gay clubs around me?’ ended up with ‘I would have turned red if I could’, and so on.
