colorful-googleIf there is one thing about Google, it is this – this particular company is not happy to rest on their laurels, and in fact, they continue to innovate as time goes by in order to remain ahead of the competition in terms of search, as well as to play catch up in other departments. Having said that, it looks as though there is a new change coming – where on a bunch of Android devices, there happens to be a Google search bar that sports a gray logo. This is a subtle yet constant reminder that Google is available at your fingertips, awaited a voice-initiated search, or for some text to be entered. Well, perhaps Google is experimenting with the possibility of having color thrown into the mix…

Several Android users have already reported that their Google search bar is now in color, in classic Google format, which is definitely a subtle and yet nice touch to the entire proceedings. It looks as though the changes were made on the server-side of things, where plenty of these devices happen to run on the numerous versions of Google Play services.

Perhaps this is just Google’s way of seeing the reaction from the masses by testing it out on the quiet, and having some color is always a nice touch if you ask me.
