The war between iOS and Android couldn’t get more intense with fans physically hurting each other. In recent years, we have witnessed many virtual wars between the companies in the comment box that you see below, but all that has always been limited to the virtual walls only. Sadly, two roommates who live in an apartment in Tulsa, Oklahoma got really out of control when they ended up stabbing each other in a heated up debate over iPhone and Android.
According to a report by the Police at Local Tulsa station KTUL, the incident took place at the Evergreen Apartments complex on Friday morning at 1 a.m. The two roommates had been drinking heavily and got into an argument about which is the better smartphone platform iOS or Android. Things got really out of control when both of them smashed beer bottles and stabbed each other with the pointed ends of broken glass of the bottle. One of the roommate brutally smashed a beer bottle on the rear of other roommate’s head, which caused serious injuries. Presently, both men are at hospital and being treated.
Getting into virtual fights is fine as you’re just voicing your opinion and it gets a closure over comments only. In real life it is downright moronic to get into a physical or even verbal fight over which smartphone platform is better… Seriously, what is the point in fighting crazily over such issues as at the end of the day, it is the big manufacturers that benefit the most from the sales of device.
On a lighter side, we are thankful that no Windows or BlackBerry supporter was present at the brawl, otherwise things would have turned much worse.
