Cycling on main roads can be a bit dangerous because of drivers who might not notice a bicycle or might not given them much consideration. This has led to a lot of bike-related accidents. However if you’re an avid cyclist and you’re looking for a better way of protecting yourself while riding, then perhaps the Babel Bike might be of interest to you.

The bike is currently trying to raise money on Indiegogo and one of its selling points is that it claims to be the safest bike in the world. Created by British inventor Crispin Sinclair, the bike will come with an assortment of features that would supposedly make it a lot safer compared to other bikes in the market today.

For example it will feature a safety cage and seatbelts to help protect the rider in the event of an accident. This will result in the bike being pushed as opposed to crushed if a vehicle were to hit it. It will also come with front and rear lights so that drivers will be able to see them, brake lights, rear-view mirrors, a loud horn, and hazard flashers.

The Babel Bike is also expected to be made available in both an electric and non-electric version. The former will feature an electric-assist motor with a range of 50-80 miles. Now if this sounds like something you might be interested in, hit up its Indiegog page for the details.
