Game of Thrones fans take note, or fans of the A Song of Ice and Fire books to be precise, because George R.R. Martin today published a new chapter from the upcoming book The Winds of Winter. The book isn’t expected to arrive until 2016 and its very likely that the new season, which premieres April 12th, is going to gallop ahead. Nevertheless if you’re like me and you’ve read all of the A Song of Ice and Fire books, then you wouldn’t want to miss The Winds of Winter new chapter that features Sansa Stark.

George R.R. Martin has released the new chapter from The Winds of Winter on his website. Before you click on that link I should warn you that it’s full of spoilers if you have only been watching the HBO series and have no idea who the story has progressed in the books.

The chapter revolves around Sansa Stark and her time at the Vale. It narrates events from her perspective as she goes by the alias Alayne Stone. The chapter itself is called Alayne and starts off by Sansa reading a story to Robert Arryn. It gets much more interesting after that, but only read if you either want to spoil the fun or have already read all of the books.

Martin has often been criticized for his slow writing pace, which may ultimately lead to TV viewers knowing much more of the story that fans of the book do, and for once they’ll be the ones spoiling the fun.

Though Martin is now pulling up his socks. He has already confirmed that he won’t write any episodes for Game of Thrones season 6 because he wants more time to focus on writing The Winds of Winter.
