tinder instagramTinder is probably a dating app that many of you guys have heard by now. For those who haven’t, it’s an app that lets users find other users within a certain distance, and swiping left/right will see you like or dislike their profile. Users who like each other will then be able to strike up a conversation, thus reducing the amount of spam and unwanted messages.

That being said, Tinder has recently been updated and in its latest update, it will feature integration with Facebook’s photo sharing platform Instagram. What this means is that users will be able to browse photos on the other person’s Instagram, assuming that they have linked it within the app. As it stands there are some Tinder users who already list their Instagram accounts, so with this update users won’t need to leave the app to browse it.

This feature will also work with users with private Instagram accounts. There will be an option that gives users the ability to make their Instagram accounts public but only for those viewing it within Tinder. The update will also feature common connection information to give users an idea if they might have friends in common.

According to Tinder’s cofounder and president Sean Rad, “This is the first of many steps to take the recommendations engine to the next level and help you assess the person you’re matching with and start those conversations. If we can provide our users with more relevant information for each connection, we can take them halfway there in terms of getting a conversation going.”
