Titanfall is a very popular game on Xbox. The title was initially exclusive to Microsoft’s consoles before it was released for Windows PC as well. The developers never really denied the possibility that the game’s sequel could be open to other platforms as well, like PlayStation. There’s now even more good news for fans. It’s quite possible that the next title, presumably called Titanfall 2, will have a traditional campaign mode as well as more weapons.

Last month Respawn CEO confirmed that Titanfall’s sequel will not be exclusive to Microsoft which means it will most definitely be coming to the PlayStation. “It’ll be multiplatform,” said Respawn CEO Vince Campella.

Abbie Heppe, Respawn Entertainment’s community manager, when asked in an interview about whether the next title will have a traditional campaign and more weapons declined to be too specific.

She didn’t rule out the possibility completely though, adding that the developer knows what Titanfall fans want, and that the developers themselves have ideas about how to take Titanfall forward.

Heppe did say that there’s going to be a lot of stuff in Titanfall 2 that “people are going to be excited about.” Respawn laid the foundation with the first Titanfall game and its going to build on top of that with Heppe saying that the developer really has heard feedback, so certainly the possibility exists that a traditional campaign mode could be included in the next Titanfall title.
