TrafficBar2iOSNavigational apps such as Google Maps or Waze usually provide drivers with an ETA as to how long it will be before they arrive at their destination. This usually depends on how fast the driver is driving but unfortunately it does not take into account traffic jams or unusual congestions that might occur along the way.

The good news is that Waze has recently announced an update to its iOS app in the form of a Traffic Bar feature following the update to its Android app. This feature basically has the ability to take into account traffic jams and will let the driver know how long they will be in it for. Of course this is based on estimations and might not necessarily be 100% accurate, but if you’ve ever been stuck in a jam and wondered how long you might be stuck for, this feature could come in handy.

The update to the app will also allow users to bring their old account over onto their new handset by entering their previously registered phone number, thus transferring their username and points from their old account to their new phone. The guided navigation feature has also been updated to let users know which is the best route to take and the app itself has been improved to be about 85% faster.

The latest version of Waze for iOS will be available for download via the iTunes App Store, and for users who have yet to download the updated Android version, head on over to the Google Play Store for the download.
