Almost every single month Microsoft releases a software update for the Xbox One to add features and make tweaks that the community asks of it. This is going down well with Xbox One owners who like receiving new features and improved software every single month. Things won’t be any different next month as the Xbox One update for May has already entered the preview stage.

Microsoft allows selected members of the public to preview the software update before it’s sent out to all Xbox One owners around the world. Those who want to get in have to receive an invite to the preview program, which can be hard to come by.

The Xbox One May update is going to make it possible for users to leave voice messages while they’re in a Party. Previously they had to leave a Party before they could leave a voice message.

May’s update also fixes an issue with US/CA Digital TV tuner which would not correctly scan for channels. An issue with the Party app is known to Microsoft, voice commands not functioning on the app’s first menu screen, it’s likely that this will also be fixed by the time this update is released to the public.

It was recently discovered that next month’s update for the Xbox One might even bring the ability to stream games to other PCs. This feature was demonstrated back in January and Microsoft never really revealed when it would be provided to Xbox One owners.
