According to a post on Sony Mobile blog, Xperia C3 and Xperia T2 Ultra smartphones have started receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop (19.3.A.0.470) firmware update.

The software update is only available for the Single SIM variants of both the phones as of now, which are Xperia C3 (D2533) and Xperia T2 Ultra (D5303). Currently, the update is rolling in Taiwan, it is expected to cover more regions shortly.

Sony has not issued any release timeline or regional availability data for the Xperia C3 and T2 Ultra Lollipop update, which means that we have to look for more information in the future regarding its roll out in the other regions.

The roll out of Android 5.0 is nothing less than a great news for Xperia C3 and T2 Ultra users, however, earlier this month, Sony had already released Android 5.1 Lollipop binaries for many other smartphones. Although these binaries are not a real deal as it only allows for Android 5.1 custom ROMs to be flashed into the device.

Mostly, Xperia Z series dominates the 5.1 roll-out list, but devices like Xperia E3, M2, T2 Ultra and T3 have also made it to the list.

Below are two lists that confirm the widespread roll out of Android Lollipop update (19.3.A.0.470) to many other regions.

For Xperia C3 (D2533)
