bannerman111-620x413We live in such a fast-paced society where we want everything right now which explains why services like Amazon Prime exist, and also how services like Uber are flourishing where people can grab a ride from just about anywhere anytime. While we’re not sure if there might be a huge market for it, it seems that there is a service in San Francisco called Bannerman which is basically the Uber of bodyguards.

Yup, you read that right, it seems that if and when you decide that you might need a bodyguard, you can use Bannerman’s services which will allow users to order unarmed bodyguards whenever they want, and these bodyguards will show up within an hour, or at least that’s the promise the company is making. This can be done using the service’s app or through its website.

According to Bannerman’s co-founder Johnny Chin, “We came up with the crazy idea of pushing a button on your phone and having security come to you. After hacking together a first version in San Francisco, people started booking right away and the company has been growing since.” So far the customers have ranged from companies looking for extra security while hosting parties, to your clubs and bars that might need the extra crowd control.

So how safe is it? Well these bodyguards will have background checks conducted on them before being hired by the FBI and Department of Justice. Users will also be able to leave feedback on their performance and service as reference for those looking to use their services in the future.
