Blizzard is a developer who has been known for three major franchises – StarCraft, Warcraft, and Diablo. All three franchises have proven to be extremely successful in their own ways and have developed legions of fans, which is why when Blizzard introduced Overwatch, many sat up and paid attention.

The game is the first new franchise from Blizzard in the past decade or so and it is basically a first-person-shooter, with the graphics and style of the game reminding us of Valve’s Team Fortress series. So far we have to admit that we are pretty impressed with what Blizzard has managed to cook up so far in terms of graphics, but if you’re wondering about its gameplay, the developer has recently released a handful of gameplay videos on YouTube.

These gameplay videos are not for every character and so far the videos only cover gameplay for Hanzo, a Japanese-inspired character who uses a bow and arrow instead of a gun; McCree who seems to be your typical cowboy/outlaw; Mercy who seems to have a more healer-type of role; and Zenyatta who is a monk-like character that focuses on defensive gameplay.

We suppose these videos are meant to show off the different playstyles that gamers can expect when the game is launched. The release date of the game has yet to be determined and chances are we could be looking at a 2016 release at the earliest, but its beta will take place later this year. In the meantime you can check out the various gameplay videos above and below, and be sure to set it at Full HD @ 60fps for the best viewing experience.
