Our handwriting is unique and if you believe in handwriting analysis, it also helps tell you about the other person based on how they write. Now for those who are fans of famed scientist Albert Einstein, you might be interested to learn that a font based on his handwriting is currently being developed and has launched on Kickstarter to seek funding for it.

The project is headed up by typographer Harald Geisler and dancer Elizabeth Waterhouse. Now the process of creating this font isn’t a copy and paste job. In fact it seems that it took them six months just to develop a working prototype which is based on analyzing notes provided by the Albert Einstein Archives, which in turn allowed them to carefully design every character to ensure its as close to the real thing as possible.

The Kickstarter project basically helps provide the team with the necessary funds to complete the project which they estimate will take another six more months. According to its description, “Working with a digital pen to follow the rhythm of Einstein’s movement on paper, Geisler’s result had a pleasing and strong resemblance to Einstein’s actual handwriting.”

If the project has been successfully funded, the font is expected to be released across multiple platforms including Mac, PC, Linux, and even iOS. If you’d like to learn more or pledge your support, head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details.
