battlefield4Battlefield 4 was originally released back in 2013 and has since been succeeded by Battlefield Hardline which was released a couple of months ago. That being said presumably gamers will now be more focused on Hardline as opposed to playing Battlefield 4, but if you still love the military aspect of Battlefield 4, here’s some good news for you.

DICE’s David Sirland has recently confirmed that future content released for Battlefield 4 will be free for everyone. This means that even if you’re not a Premium player, you will be able to receive future Battlefield 4 content for free. For example this will include new maps and the upcoming Gunmaster game mode along with new weapons.

Like we said this is good news for Battlefield gamers. While Hardline is the latest Battlefield, we’re sure that there are still plenty of gamers who are still playing Battlefield 4 and to have access to the game’s future content for free will no doubt go down well for gamers. It might even encourage more sales of the game for gamers who are trying to get in on the action.

We can’t be sure if future Battlefield games will follow this route or if this was a decision made by DICE, but given that Hardline was recently released it’s a little too early to start thinking about the next game.
