samsung-galaxy-s4-review-037

The Galaxy S4 is among the few devices from Samsung which have already received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on various carriers. Samsung has already released said update for the international unlocked variant of this handset. Sprint has been lagging behind with the update for this particular device but now it has finally come through. The Galaxy S4 Lollipop update has finally been released by the carrier for its subscribers who are no doubt anxiously waiting for it to arrive.

Announced late last year Android 5.0 Lollipop brings some of the biggest changes ever made to Google’s mobile operating system, including but not limited to a completely new user interface with Material Design elements and a plethora of new features.

So everything that comes as part and parcel of Android 5.0 is included in the update that Sprint is now rolling out for the Galaxy S4. As a matter of fact the carrier has also released the same update for the Sprint Spark variant of the Galaxy S4.

Sprint did release said update for the Spark variant last month but as it turns out the update roll out had to be halted due to some reasons which is why the update is now being reissued.

Galaxy S4 gets build L720VPUGOD2 of the Lollipop update and the Sprint Spark variant gets build L720TVPUCOD2. They both weigh in around 1GB so best be connected to a strong Wi-Fi network before download starts.
