lollipop

Samsung has already released the highly anticipated Lollipop update for the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, for both Wi-Fi and LTE variants, and the Wi-Fi only version of this tablet’s 8.4 inch sibling also got the update last month. Now though the company has finally released Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE.

As previously mentioned, Samsung released the Lollipop update for the Wi-Fi only variant of this tablet back in April, so it’s certainly about time that the LTE variant got a taste of Lollipop as well.

Samsung will gradually be rolling out the update in more markets across the globe, it has started off be releasing Lollipop for the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 in Hong Kong.

In Hong Kong the update can immediately downloaded and installed on the tablet using Kies, Samsung’s desktop software. Now that Samsung has got the ball rolling on this update it’s only a matter of time before it’s released in other markets across the globe.

The update will also be rolled out over-the-air so those who prefer to download and install the update on the device itself need not worry, they may have to wait for a while longer but they’ll certainly get Lollipop over-the-air.

The Lollipop update brings a plethora of new features to the tablet, as well as an overhauled user interface and performance tweaks.
