One thing is for sure, leaked images or renders of upcoming handsets are nothing quite like the Emperor’s new clothes, if you know what I mean. In fact, the Gionee Elife E8 (from the maker of the world’s thinnest smartphone) has been spotted in the latest round of new renders seen online, where one will be able to check out various aspects of the handset from different angles, including its front and back, as well as side by side.
It is safe to say that the Gionee Elife E8 has been the subject of many a leak in recent times, and it does lead one to wonder whether those leaks were done on purpose, or were they accidental in nature due to some mole in the company that has managed to obtain such information without prior permission or authority. Us consumers are the so-called beneficiaries of such leaks, where it should be revealed next month at a dedicated event in Beijing.
In terms of hardware specifications, we are looking at the possibility of a 23MP camera at the back that can shoot images of up to 100MP via software enhancements, in addition to lossless zoom shots just like the Nokia Lumia 1020, so be prepared to purchase a large hard drive for constant data transfers. Other than that, one ought to find a 6” QHD AMOLED touchscreen display, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a 3,250 mAh battery, and MediaTek’s MT6795 SoC with octa-core CPU, all running on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Gionee’s very own Amigo OS.
