lg-g4-industrial-design-18Prior to the official launch of the LG G4, it was speculated that the handset could end up being priced slightly higher than other flagship phones, but until now we still have no clue how much the phone will actually cost. However recently during a promotional event run by T-Mobile and Sprint, it seems that the carrier retail pricing for the phone has been revealed.

Basically the promotion is to giveaway several LG G4 handsets. According to the promotional text for T-Mobile’s contest, “Entry Period 1: Seven (7) LG G4 mobile devices. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $600.00 each. Entry Period 2: Seven (7) LG G4 mobile devices. ARV: $600.00 each. Entry Period 3: Seven (7) LG G4 mobile devices. ARV: $600.00 each. Entry Period 4: Seven (7) LG G4 mobile devices. ARV: $600.00 each. Total ARV of prizes: $16,800.00”

As for Sprint, their promotional text reads, “eight (8) potential winners will each receive one (1) LG G4 Smartphone. The estimated Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of each prize is $600.00.” So there you have it, it seems that the LG G4 will be priced at $600 if you were to buy it from a carrier without a contract. So far it seems that the handset is cheaper than other flagships out there but we can’t be sure if this is subsidized or if this reflects the actual street price.

In any case we know that the major carriers in the US will be offering the handset at various launch dates, so hopefully then more details will be revealed.
