It has been a very long time since Microsoft, or any other OEM for that matter, released a full-fledged flagship smartphone powered by Windows Phone. However Microsoft has kept the momentum going with several mid-range and low-end devices with which it seeks to infiltrate into new markets. It appears that one such device might soon be making its way to T-Mobile.

Microsoft is betting on the Lumia 435 to perform as well as previous low-end devices that, helping to push Windows Phone into the market that’s mostly saturated by Android and iOS.

Even though no formal announcement has been made yet T-Mobile already has a support page for this device and Microsoft has also set up a page for the Lumia 435 on T-Mobile, perhaps our clearest indication yet that this smartphone is coming to Magenta.

The Lumia 435 is a proper low-end smartphone with a 4-inch WVGA 800×400 pixel resolution LCD display, 2 megapixel rear and VGA front camera, 1GB RAM and 8GB of onboard storage.

Lumia 435 also has a 1,560mAh removable battery and it’s powered by the 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor. It supports 4G HSPA+ speeds but doesn’t have 4G.

Since no official confirmation has been made yet it’s unclear when T-Mobile might release this device and precisely how much it will cost.
