m1note-teaseA piece of hardware that has been bandied about in hushed whispers on the rumor mill will remain just that – a rumor, unless and until an official announcement is made by the manufacturer itself. I guess the same can be said about the Meizu M1 Note 2, which has been talked about for quite some time already until a more concrete piece of evidence that supports its existence emerged in the form of a live image not too long back. It looks further confirmation is required, and a recently introduced teaser image by Meizu themselves depict the outline of an upcoming smartphone.

In the teaser image that you can see on the right, it depicts he relocated power button on the left side, which is placed right below the volume rocker. Apart from that, very little else is known concerning this device, although it has been rumored to replace the current M1 Note phablet that comes in a 5.5” form factor. It is also touted that this new handset will boot up in Android Lollipop, and the price should remain the same as its predecessor when it finally rolls out, which would be CNY999 ($160 thereabouts after conversion).

Ah well, it looks like we have to wait until June for an official reveal.
