A couple of months ago we reported on a rather cool Bluetooth DJ accessory called the Mixfader. Basically this is a crossfader with Bluetooth technology that allows users to pair it with an iPhone or iPad, thus giving them physical controls in which they can mix their songs with. It was a pretty cool idea and the good news is that it has been launched on Kickstarter.

Prior to this there was no mention of its availability or pricing, but given that it is now on Kickstarter, successful funding should see it made a reality. There have been some changes made to the device from the original. It will now feature a metal build instead of a plastic one which should enhance its durability and add a bit of heft to it, making it more stable.

The Bluetooth technology used by the company promises that the device will have ultra-low latency, meaning that the actions performed on the Mixfader should translate into commands almost instantly, or at least with lag so low that the average user probably can’t tell it was even there to begin with.

Like we said in our previous post, it is a pretty awesome little device and if you’d like to see the Mixfader become a reality and help you live out your DJ ambitions, head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details. So far they have managed to raise a little over €15,000 out of its €50,000 goal.
