Doom fans have something to look forward to this E3 2015. It has been confirmed today that at the gaming convention next month developer id Software is finally going to show off the gameplay of the new Doom game, which has been a long time coming. Today id Software and Bethesda released a short teaser trailer of the new title which features two short vignettes that confirm that the new title has everything that it needs to be considered a proper Doom game.

We get to see a demon and a gun, the two quintessential parts of a Doom game. The demon in question is Revenant which first appeared in 1994’s Doom 2 and was later brought back in Doom 3.

We also get to see what might be the super shotgun, a weapon that was first introduced with Doom 2, so fans of the series will certainly feel nostalgic when they play the new Doom game.

It has been a very long time since the new Doom game has been in the pipeline. Last year attendees at QuakeCon did get to see in game footage but that wasn’t shared with anybody else so people who were not there are still in the dark.

Nevertheless the wait will finally end at E3 2015 next month when id Software finally unveils the new Doom game. It may also reveal when this title will arrive, presumably the new Doom game will be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC later this year.
