periscope-androidIt has been a couple of months after Periscope debuted on the iOS platform, which is a mobile operating system from Apple. Just what is Periscope all about, anyway? It happens to be Twitter’s live-streaming app, and we are glad to bring you word that this particular app is no longer exclusive to the iOS platform, since it has made its way to Google as well – and not only that, it will bring with it a slew of new features to boot. After all, having the same old is not going to entice anyone now, would it?

Android users who will be getting hold of Periscope today will see a slew of new features that are related to Periscope’s notification settings, while Android users can opt in to be informed whenever a personality or organization that they follow on Twitter performs a maiden broadcast on Periscope, in addition to the situation where someone they follow on Periscope shares someone else’s broadcast.

Not only that, Android users of Periscope can also resume from where they last left off should they be viewing somebody else’s broadcast and were interrupted halfway. Perhaps a launch on the Android platform could prove to be a move in the right direction when it comes to a wider range of adoption. [Press Release]
