google-play-store-pre-register

Whenever a hot new product arrives on the market people line up for hours to get their hands on it, what if you were waiting for a new app and games and would want to get in line so that you could instantly get it as soon as it went live? You can now figuratively get in line for select upcoming apps and games on the Google Play Store as it now allows people to pre-register for them.

The first game to support this new feature of the Google Play Store is Terminator Genisys: Revolution by Glu Mobile. The app doesn’t list a price or release date but once should expect it to arrive around the same time the movie hits the big screen on July 1st.

Google will let select publishers to allow people to pre-register for their upcoming apps and games before they’re made available for purchase. The app pages for these titles will include a “Pre-register” button where you would normally find the “Buy” button instead.

Pre-registration doesn’t make it obligatory for you to purchase the app when it goes live so you can always decide not to get it, and it doesn’t cost anything to get your name on that list.

The only advantage users get out of this is that they will receive a notification when the app or game that they have pre-registered for goes live and is available for download. That way they don’t forget about it and get it the moment it goes live.
