galaxy-s6-vs-galaxy-s6-edge_04They say that good things come to those who wait – well, perhaps that saying is tried and true, otherwise how else would hit have “survived” this long? Well, we have received word that both the Samsung Galaxy S6 as well as the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge over in Europe and Asia have started to receive the Over The Air (OTA) update, which among other improvements, will include better fingerprint scanning.

Having been on the market for more than a month already, both of these smartphone models are successes in their own right. Samsung has ensured that their latest devices will remain up to date where the software is concern – which is a good thing, too, since you will need to uphold the image of your flagship devices among the masses. In fact, the European version of the forerunner did pick up a minor update in select regions, and there was also a different one that intends to improve the memory management of the phones.

The latest update that is making its way across Europe and Asia would carry the XXU1AOE3 build number, where it weighs in at 159MB, which ain’t too large in this day and age when it comes to the overall file size. It would be interesting to see just how much better the touch-based fingerprint scanner will be in this latest software update, not to mention a new feature being introduced to the built-in Photo editor to boot.
