Xperia_C4_colour_rangeLast year Sony announced the Xperia C3 which is a phone aimed at the selfie-taking lover. The handset featured a 5MP front-facing camera with a wide-angle lens which made it easier to take selfies with, and also came with some camera features and functionality that allows for easier group selfie shots.

Now it seems that Sony does not think the selfie trend is going away anytime soon as the company has officially announced the Sony Xperia C4 and the Xperia C4 Dual. Essentially these are phones aimed at selfie lovers and are basically the successors to last year’s Xperia C3.

In terms of specs, the Xperia C4 has undergone some upgrades. It will now pack a 5.5-inch Full HD display which is an upgrade over the Xperia C3’s HD display. It will also be powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor courtesy of MediaTek, and will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and a 2,600mAh battery to boot.

In terms of its camera, the Xperia C4 will come with a 13MP rear-facing camera and its front-facing camera will be kept the same as the Xperia C3, meaning that users can expect a 5MP wide-angle front camera. The Xperia C4 Dual is basically the same except with dual SIM functions. The handset will be going on sale this June in select markets, but no word on pricing just yet.
