T-Mobile hasn’t been the quickest of carriers to release the Lollipop update for Samsung’s flagship phablets but Magenta’s subscribers have an update to look forward to today if they own a Galaxy Note Edge. The T-Mobile Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop update has finally been released today, it bumps up the core OS to Android 5.0.2 and brings all of the bells and whistles that we have come to expect from a Lollipop update.

Magenta was expected to release this update for the Galaxy Note Edge in the coming days given the fact that it hasn’t even been a full week since the carrier released Lollipop for the Galaxy Note 4.

Both the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge were unveiled together at the IFA conference in September last year, so when T-Mobile released Lollipop for the former we knew it was only a matter of time before the latter got it as well.

The staggered rollout of Android 5.0.2 for Galaxy Note Edge has now begun at T-Mobile. It brings the new user interface with Material Design elements, lots of new features, performance and stability improvements as well as lots of crucial bug and stability fixes.

T-Mobile is rolling out the update over-the-air though the Samsung Kies desktop software can also be used to update the device.
