zenfone-2-9Earlier this year ASUS unveiled the ZenFone 2 which is a 5.5-inch Android smartphone powered by Intel’s mobile chipset. However if for whatever reason you would prefer an ARM-version of the ASUS ZenFone 2, you’re in luck as the company has recently announced two new ZenFone 2 models.

The new models will come in a 5-inch version and a 6-inch version, thus catering to users who might have an appreciation for phablets in the form of the 6-inch model. However what’s different in these phones is the fact that ASUS has decided to equip them with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets instead.

Unfortunately the specific model of the Qualcomm chipsets weren’t mentioned, but according to the folks at Mobile Geeks, the 5-inch ZenFone 2 will be powered by a Snapdragon 410 processor, 2-3GB of RAM, 16-32GB of storage, and a 13MP rear-facing camera which is accompanied by a 5MP front-facing camera.

As for the larger model, it will sport a 6-inch 720p HD display which is admittedly a bit disappointing as we reckon the low resolution and large display will result in a display that isn’t as sharp as it could be. It will also pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, carry 2-3GB of RAM, 16-32GB of storage, and the same 13MP/5MP camera combos. Pricing or availability of these new ZenFone 2 handsets have yet to be determined.
