Last year ASUS launched their ZenWatch which is a stylish-looking Android Wear device. If you liked what you saw, perhaps you might be interested to learn that ASUS has since officially launched the ASUS ZenWatch 2, the successor to last year’s smartwatch that we have been hearing about for a while.

For the most part the shape of the ZenWatch 2 follows its predecessor. However it seems that ASUS have drawn some inspiration from the Apple Watch as the wearable now comes with an external button in which users can use to interact with the smartwatch’s operating system, although in reality it acts more like a fancy power button as opposed to the Apple Watch’s more functional digital crown.

True to the rumors, ASUS is offering up the ZenWatch 2 in multiple sizes for different wrists. For those who prefer a smaller face, there is a 45mm version with an 18mm strap. For those who prefer larger faces and straps, there is also the 49mm model that comes with a 22mm strap. In terms of color options, users can choose from silver, gunmetal, or rose gold.

The ZenWatch 2 will charge via a magnetic charging connector and will sport an AMOLED display with a curved Gorilla Glass 3 surface. Now if you’re wondering about its specs, pricing, and availability, ASUS states that more information will be revealed at IFA 2015 which corroborates an earlier report that suggested that the ZenWatch 2 would see a Q3 2015 release.
