android-5.0-lollipop

Even though Google released Android 5.0 Lollipop late last year the software has not yet made it to quite a lot of Android devices, OEMs were initially focused on providing this update for many of their recent and high-end devices which is why others have had to wait for a long time. It’s the same story with HTC Desire Eye owners on AT&T but there’s good news for them, it has been confirmed that the Lollipop update for HTC Desire Eye will be released soon by AT&T.

This has been confirmed by HTC’s vice president of product management @moversi on Twitter, so it doesn’t get any more official than this.

Mo Versi said that HTC has received technical approval for the Lollipop update that’s intended for HTC Desire Eye, and now that approval has been granted they can get down to the business of rolling out said update.

Android 5.0 Lollipop brings tons of new features of the device as well as a whole new user interface spruced up with Material Design elements.

He confirms that the Lollipop update for HTC Desire Eye on AT&T is going to start rolling out tomorrow, the update will be sent out in phases so it will take some time for it to go live across the entire country, but it will become available in due time for everybody.
