batman-arkham-knight-1

The much awaited last title in the Batman trilogy from Rocksteady was released about a week back and while the game seems really well built on consoles it’s a completely different story on the PC. Warner Bros. has had to halt sales of Batman: Arkham Knight for the PC because things are so bad, those who already have the title are waiting for patches. The first one has been released and it does bring fixes for some issues while Rocksteady has outlined the improvements that it intends on making in subsequent patches.

The first patch fixes issues that include a crash when exiting the game, a bug which disabled rain effects and ambient occlusion, an issue that caused Steam to re-download the game when verifying the integrity of the game cache through Steam client as well as a bug that caused the game to crash when turning off Motion Blur.

Rocksteady has promised that more work will be done quickly to ensure that the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight is up to the mark, but it does say that it will take “some time” for all of this to be done.

Improvements promised in subsequent patches include support for frame rates about 30FPS, fix for low resolution texture bug, overall improvements in performance and framerate hitches, system memory and VRAM usage, bug fixes for NVIDIA SLI, enabling AMD Crossfire and much more.

No timeline has been provided as yet for the next patches.
