batman arkham knightEarlier we reported that gamers who have bought and downloaded Batman: Arkham Knight for the PC were having some issues with the game, most notably the framerates of the game which would suddenly dip to 10fps or in worse cases, drop to an unbearable and unplayable 3fps. Thankfully the developers of the game have since acknowledged its issues.

In an update posted on Steam, developers Rocksteady wrote, “We also want to note that there are some known issues with the performance of Batman: Arkham Knight for PC owners using AMD graphics cards. We are working closely with AMD to rectify these issues as quickly as possible and will provide updates here as they become available. We thank you for your patience in this matter.”

Oddly enough despite them claiming it to be an AMD issue, there have been some gamers with NVIDIA cards who have similar complaints as well. However at the same time, there are also some gamers with AMD GPUs who have no issues running the game either, so it looks like it might not necessarily be a widespread issue.

Rocksteady has also updated the minimum specs list where the minimum AMD GPU required to run the game now reads “AMD Radeon HD 7950” with 3GB of VRAM. In any case here’s hoping they come up with a solution soon, but in the meantime if you haven’t played for more than 2 hours, you can still get your money back.
