fujifilm_x-t1_04While the Fujifilm X-T1 is an amazing camera in its own right, it isn’t the perfect camera and one of the features that reviews have criticized about the camera would be its autofocus system. However as you might have heard, Fujifilm has revealed that they are planning a firmware upgrade that will introduce a new AF system.

Now the update was promised for a release in June but when exactly? We’re already approaching the end of the second week of the month, so we can only assume it’s soon, right? Well according to a report from Fuji Rumors, they claim that they have heard from a reliable source that the update has been scheduled for the 25th of June.

This seems to contradict an earlier report from the website that claimed that the update will be released on the 18th of June. In fact they even ventured the 22nd of June but later claimed that it was wrong. In any case with three different dates to choose from, it’s really anyone’s guess as to when that might actually happen.

In any case we suppose you should probably take this latest piece of news with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information so do check back with us in the coming weeks for the details of the Fujifilm X-T1’s firmware 4.0 release!
