sgs6_ip6We’re sure this is something that comes up pretty often which is which phone is better at taking photos? The Samsung Galaxy S6 or Apple’s iPhone 6? Safe to say that both sides will argue until the cows come home, which means that we would probably need something more definitive, right?

Well thanks to the folks at PhoneArena, they have recently conducted a blind camera test in which they pit both phones against each other, put photos taken side-by-side without mentioning which photo belongs to which device, and let their readers vote on which they think did the best. As it turns out the Galaxy S6 blew the iPhone 6 away.

According to their votes, the Galaxy S6 scored a whopping 27,063 votes against the iPhone 6’s 3,033. The disparity is huge and based on the photos we’ve seen, it is understandable as to why that might be. Based on the overall photo, some might argue that the Galaxy S6’s photos are a bit blown out in terms of exposure.

However when it comes to the details, this is where the Galaxy S6 truly shines because when cropped, the Galaxy S6 retains a lot of the details in the photos while the iPhone 6 clearly lacks them. The Galaxy S6 also did a lot better in low-light situations where the photo was much clearer compared to the iPhone 6.

That being said, it should be noted that the Galaxy S6’s camera comes with a 16MP sensor versus the iPhone 6’s 8MP sensor, so in terms of details we suppose the Galaxy S6 has the added advantage, but at the end of the day it’s really up to you to decide which phone you think suits you the best.
