Some of you might recall that a couple of days ago, we reported that Samsung could be working on a larger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge in the form of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. While we can’t say for sure if the rumors are true, YouTuber and tech reviewer Marques Brownlee claims to have gotten an image of the device.

The photo can be seen in his video (see above) of his review on the HTC One M9+. The alleged photo appears towards the end of the video and while it’s hard to tell if this is a phablet version of the Galaxy S6 Edge, Brownlee seems to think that it is. He claims to have received the photo from a source and if it is the real deal, this is the first ever photo of the alleged device.

For the most part it looks like the rumors were true. The Galaxy S6 Plus is supposedly a larger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge where it will retain a similar design in which both sides of the display are curved downwards. However instead of packing a 5.1-inch display, it could feature a 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch display, making it larger than its sibling.

The rumors are also claiming that it will not use Samsung’s Exynos chipset but will instead turn to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808. We were a bit skeptical at the original rumor as it seemed like Samsung would cannibalize the sales of its upcoming Galaxy Note 5, which last we heard was on track for a launch in September at IFA. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys make of the photo? Does it really seem like a larger handset?
