undo_sendEver send an email you’ve regretted? Perhaps you had a typo in the title, perhaps you forgot to include a recipient, perhaps you sent it to the wrong person. That’s when Gmail’s Undo Send feature comes into handy. As the name implies, this allows users to unsend an email that they have just sent, saving you from potential backlash or embarrassment.

However oddly enough despite being available for about six years, the feature was listed under Gmail’s “Labs” area which is basically where Google puts out new features for testing. These features are usually considered to be in beta and are subject to change or even removal, however the good news is that as far as the Undo Send feature is concerned, that is no longer the case.

The Undo Send feature has since graduated out of beta and is now available for users under the “General” tab. What does this mean? Well basically this means is that if you did not know about the Undo Send feature or the Labs section of Gmail before, you will now be able to find it in a more accessible location.

This also means that whatever kinks Google might have had with the feature have since been sorted out, hopefully, or at last good enough for prime time usage. Users can choose how long they want their emails “delayed” before it is sent out with a maximum of 30 seconds, so if you haven’t already enabled it, go ahead and do so!
