tavern brawlWhile Hearthstone is only a little over a year old, we’re sure some gamers are getting pretty bored of the grind. Many gamers have probably blown through the content offered by the various expansions that have been released and have probably tried out multiple deck variations by now.

Well for those who are bored, you will be happy to learn that Hearthstone’s recently announced Tavern Brawl mode is now live! The mode which went live in the Asian region hours ago has since rolled forward to gamers in the EU and North America, so if you were to fire up the game, you should be able to access the new mode in the menus.

For those unfamiliar with the Tavern Brawl mode, this is a mode that will introduce new objectives and ways of playing the game on a weekly basis, just to shake things up from the way the game is currently played. This week’s theme is “Showdown at Blackrock Mountain” in which players will take up the mantle as either Ragnaros or Nefarian, with each “hero” featuring different health pools, armor, and abilities, as well as a different deck.

Players will need to be at least level 20 to participate. Like we said, this event will only last a week and is expected to conclude on the 22nd of June, after which a new event will be introduced. The Tavern Brawl rollout has also introduced new hero skins to the game like the ones we’ve talked about which includes Magni Bronzebeard, Alleria Windrunner, and Medivh.
